Middleman is a four-piece English alternative rock band from Leeds . The band was founded in 2006. The first singles Blah Blah Blah and Good to Be Back were released in 2007 on Bad Sneekers Records , It's Not Over Yet on Blip Records on September 5, 2010. On December 12, 2010 their fourth single Chipping Away was also released at Blip Records .
Their debut album Spinning Plates was released on May 1, 2011 on Blip Records , but was produced by the band itself.
The second album Countersteps was released in October 2013.

Middleman played live with Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1 , Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music and John Kennedy on XFM radio.
The band's songs were used by radio stations BBC Radio 1, Kerrang Radio and XFM, as well as DJs such as Steve Lamacq , Zane Lowe , Colin Murray , Huw Stephens, Rory McConnell and Eddy Temple-Morris as the basis for samplers .
Their titles have been recorded on television channels, including Soccer AM .
The song You Look Like You Do appeared on the Neon Nights mixtape from 2007 with Gossip , Crystal Castles and Kate Nash . It's Not Over Yet was recorded in the game NBA 2K11 by 2k Sports alongside songs with Snoop Dogg and Two Door Cinema Club .

Middleman took second place in the Best Newcomer Band category at the 2006 BT Digital Music Awards . In addition, they were from the entertainment show Freshly Squeezed on Channel 4 as best hip-hop newcomer band excellent. The band also won the Futuresound competition in 2009.

Middleman have made more than 200 appearances. They supported Lee "Scratch" Perry , The Streets , Jack Penate , Lethal Bizzle , The Go! Team , Toots & the Maytals , Esser, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip and The Sunshine Underground . They have also participated in various festivals, including Latitude Festival 2007, Leeds Festival 2007, Secret Garden Party 2007, Beat-Herder 2007, Kendal Calling 2009, Moor Music Festival 2007 and 2009, Reading Festival 2009, Leeds Festival 2009, South by Southwest in Texas 2010.
In addition, the band toured the Netherlands in 2010 .
In Germany, the band performed in 2012 at the Lott Festival and Krach am Bach . In 2013 there were performances at Krach am Bach, Rocken am Brocken and Trebur Open Air .
