Career

Iggulden first played at Ridley College , before he played from 2001 to 2005 for four seasons for Cornell University in the leagues of the National Collegiate Athletic Association . The power forward , which was long out of his second year of college due to a foot injury, he was able to convince in his last season at college with 18 points in 35 games.

After the end of the 2004/05 college season, the Rochester Americans from the American Hockey League committed the undrafted Canadian on the basis of an amateur tryout offer (ATO) and used him in a total of six games by the end of the season. Before the 2005/06 season he was signed by the Cleveland Barons , the then farm team of the San Jose Sharks , with a Professional Tryout Offer (PTO). With the Barons Iggulden completed an excellent first full AHL season with 48 points in 77 games and received his first full professional contract after the end of the season. Due to the relocation of the barons, who moved to Worcester , Massachusetts and were renamed Worcester Sharks , Iggulden also moved the franchise there. After another strong season, the Sharks extended his contract for another year until the end of the 2007/08 season . In this, the striker developed into the most dangerous attacker and received a nomination for the AHL All-Star Classic . On February 18, 2008 he was finally appointed to the NHL roster of the San Jose Sharks and made his debut. In the course of the season, however, it remained with only one NHL use. After his contract expired in the summer of 2008, he joined the New York Islanders as a free agent , where he was also part of the AHL farm team, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers . In total, he came to 72 AHL missions, in which he scored 66 points. He confirmed his performance from the previous year. He also played eleven games for the Islanders, in which he scored five points.

After the season Iggulden was again a free agent and decided to move to Europe when he signed a contract with Dinamo Riga from the Continental Hockey League . In July 2010 he was signed by the SCL Tigers . For this, the striker completed 50 NLA games in the regular season and finished them with a record of 40 points, the best result of a Langnauer player this season. With the SCL Tigers Iggulden managed to qualify for the finals, in which the team was defeated by SC Bern in four games. In June 2011 he signed a contract for one season with the Swedish Elitserien- climber Växjö Lakers Hockey , a year later he moved within the league to Rögle BK . With the latter, he rose from the Elitserien in the spring of 2013 to the Allsvenskan and then left the club. Then Iggulden was committed by Vitjas Podolsk from the KHl, but dismissed after 29 games in November of the same year.

He was then without a club, before he was signed by KHL Medveščak Zagreb in January 2014 , where he was rarely used. From July 2014, Iggulden was under contract with the Kölner Haien from the German Ice Hockey League , before moving to the Augsburg Panthers within the league in August 2015 . In the 2015/16 season he played 42 DEL games for Augsburg and achieved 28 points scorer. After the end of the season he turned down an offer from Augsburg to extend his contract and announced the end of his playing career in May 2016. He named "private reasons" as the reason for his decision.
