Michael "Mike" Leah (born October 15, 1974 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a professional Canadian poker player .

Personal

Leah lived alternately with his divorced parents as a child and grew up with his older sister, two half-siblings and a stepsister. He was a professional wrestler and won the national championship for his age group in high school . Leah later took part in the World Wrestling Championship with the Canadian national team. After graduation, he took a year off from sports and worked as a salesman for the Canadian Community Reading Plan. There Leah finally worked his way up from sales representative to manager of Western Canada and Eastern Canada. He lives in Innisfil .

Poker career

Leah learned poker from an employee in 2005. Leah has been playing online under the nicknames GoLeafsGoEh (PokerStars , Full Tilt Poker and partypoker ) and 1GoLeafsGoEh1 ( UltimateBet ) since July 2006 . His biggest online cash prize he received in late September 2011 on PokerStars when he the main event of the World Championship of Online Poker in third place for more than 650,000 US dollars occupied. Overall, Leah's online poker tournament revenue amounts to just under $ 4 million. Since 2006 he has also participated in renowned live tournaments .

Leah won the Bellagio Cup at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas on July 31, 2006 with a prize of more than $ 85,000.
