Mimoň II (German Niemes - II. District ) is a district of the city of Mimoň in the Czech Republic . It is located south of the center of Mimoň and belongs to the Okres Česká Lípa .
geography
Mimoň II is located on the right side of the Ploučnice in the Ralská pahorkatina ( Rollberg hill country ). It extends south of the cemetery and the Post Bridge. Road II / 270 runs through the district between Mimoň and Doksy . To the west rise the Jelení vršek ( Hirschhübel , 307 m) and the Liščí vrch ( Fuchsberg , 321 m). The forest area Borečký les ( Heiderevier ) extends to the south-west .
Neighboring towns are Mimoň III in the north, Mimoň I in the east, Mimoň VI in the southeast, Boreček in the south, Brenná in the west and Mimoň V in the northwest.
history
At the end of the 19th century the city of Niemes was divided into districts, one of which was the II. District. The Niemes Meierhof was in the northern part . In 1897 the Niemes slaughterhouse was built near the Engelberg ( Potoční ) instead of the Holsteschen wood vinegar factory. In addition, there was a bleaching and finishing facility at Engelberg . The Bohemian Leipa – Niemes railway ran through the district .
In 1965 the Mimoň stud was founded on the Meierhof grounds. In 1991 Mimoň II had 225 inhabitants. In 2001 Mimoň II consisted of 84 houses in which 260 people lived. The district consists of 106 houses in total.
The Mimoň stud and the Mimoň racecourse are located in Mimoň II. The railway line is used as a connecting line for freight traffic.
Local division
The district Mimoň II is part of the cadastral district Mimoň. It includes the Průmyslový obvod ( industrial area ) settlement unit , the southern part of Mimoň-střed between Příkop and U Hřebčína streets, and a southern part of U nádraží around Příkop street.
Horská, Nábřežní, náměstí Čsl streets are located in the district. armády, Okrouhlická, Potoční, Příkop and U Hřebčína.
