Mimoň I (German Niemes - I. district ) is a district of the city of Mimoň in the Czech Republic . It is located one kilometer south-east of the center of Mimoň and belongs to the Okres Česká Lípa .

geography

Mimoň I is located on the left side of the Ploučnice in the Ralská pahorkatina ( Rollberg hill country ). It extends east of the castle park and the castle pond. The Ralsko ( Rollberg , 696 m) and the Písčitý kopec (386 m) rise to the northeast . The road II / 268 runs through the district between Mimoň and Kuřívody .

Neighboring towns are Mimoň III and Srní Potok in the north, Vranov in the northeast, Pavlín and Nový Dvůr in the east, Hvězdov and Ploužnice in the southeast, Mimoň VI in the south, Mimoň II in the southwest and Mimoň III in the west and northwest.

history

In 1883 the local railway Böhmisch Leipa – Niemes started running . The Niemeser Bahnhof was built east of the Hühnerwasser suburb. After the construction of the new station on the North Bohemian Transversal Railway , the Niemes terminus was called the old station from 1900. At the end of the 19th century the city of Niemes was divided into districts, one of which was the first district.

The Pod Ralskem prefabricated housing estate was built in the 1970s . After the withdrawal of the Soviets and the dissolution of the military training area, the town of Mimoň was assigned an area of ​​almost 133 hectares at the beginning of 1992, which also included some built-up plots in the Strážov and Ploužnice corridors as well as undeveloped land in the northwest corridor of Hvězdov . All plots were transferred to the Mimoň cadastral district and assigned to the Mimoň I district, with the houses in Ploužnice keeping their addresses. On May 21, 1998, the Mimoň City Council decided to designate this area as the Mimoň VI district .

In 1991 Mimoň I had 3952 inhabitants. In 2001 Mimoň I consisted of 527 houses in which 3831 people lived. In total, the district consists of 597 houses.

The Mimoň Hospital is located in Mimoň I.

The district Mimoň I is part of the Mimoň cadastral district. It includes the basic settlement units Husova-Pražská, Svébořická strana, U lipové aleje, U nemocnice and U pily as well as the northern part of Kuřivodská strana and the eastern part of Pod Ralskem.
