About half of its area increases the forest Čistá ( Tschistai a). The road II / 268 runs through the district between Mimoň and Kuřívody . The Červený vrch ( Rother Hübel , 299 m) rises to the south . To the south is the former military airfield Hradčany.

Neighboring towns are Mimoň I in the north, Pavlín and Nový Dvůr in the northeast, Hvězdov in the east, Ploužnice in the south, Hradčany in the southwest, Boreček in the west and Mimoň II in the northwest.

history

The southern part of the Niemeser Kapellenflur and the Tschistai were always used for agriculture and forestry. In 1868 the Anton and Adolf Schicketanz cloth factory moved from the town of Niemes to its new location in the Tschistai at the confluence of the Ploužnický potok and Ploučnice rivers. In 1906, a wire weaving mill from the Hutter & Schranz company was operated in the factory buildings, which are known as Lesní závod because of their location .

After the Munich Agreement , it was incorporated into the German Reich in 1938. In March 1945 the construction of an airfield began on the Kummerfeld near Zweihäusl ( U Dvou chalup ), which was damaged in US air raids and was only completed by the Czechoslovak Army after the end of World War II.

After the end of the Second World War, the area came back to Czechoslovakia and in 1947 became part of the Ralsko military training area . After the Prague Spring 1968, the Red Army used the site until 1991. After the withdrawal of the Soviets and the dissolution of the military training area, the town of Mimoň was assigned an area of almost 133 hectares at the beginning of 1992, which also included some built-up plots in the Strážov and Ploužnice corridors as well as undeveloped land in the northwest corridor of Hvězdov . All plots were transferred to the Mimoň cadastral area and assigned to the Mimoň I district , with the houses in Ploužnice keeping their addresses. On May 21, 1998, the Mimoň City Council decided to designate this area as the Mimoň VI district.

In 2001, Mimoň VI consisted of nine houses in which 26 people lived. In total, the place consists of 38 houses.

Local division

The district of Mimoň VI is part of the Mimoň cadastral district. It includes the southern part of the basic settlement unit Kuřivodská strana, the Lesní závod and some houses of Ploužnice.

Lesní závod, Ploužnice and Pražská streets are located in the district.
