Mitchell Thomas Rozanski
Mitchell Thomas Rozanski (born August 6, 1958 in Baltimore ) is an American clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Saint Louis .
Life
Mitchell Thomas Rozanski attended Sacred Heart of Mary Elementary School in Baltimore and Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School in Essex . He then studied philosophy and Catholic theology from 1978 to 1984 at the Theological College of the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC . Rozanski received on 24 November 1984 by the current Archbishop of Baltimore , William Donald Borders , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
After ordination, Mitchell Thomas Rozanski first worked as parish vicar in the parish of Saint Michael in Overlea , before he became parish vicar in the parish of Saint Anthony of Padua in Baltimore in 1986 . Rozanski was pastor of the parish of Saint Isaac Jogues from 1990 to 1993 and pastor of the parishes of Holy Cross and Saint Mary Star of the Sea in Baltimore from 1993 to 2000 . In 2000, Mitchell Thomas Rozanski became pastor of the parish of Saint John the Evangelist in Severna Park . He was also Dean of the Anne Arundel County Dean's Office and a member of the College of Consultors and the Council of Priests of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
On 3 July 2004. appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Walla Walla and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Baltimore. The Archbishop of Baltimore, William Henry Cardinal Keeler , donated him episcopal ordination on August 24 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Baltimore, William Francis Malooly , and the auxiliary bishop emeritus in Baltimore, William Clifford Newman .
On 19 June 2014 it appointed Pope Francis to the Bishop of Springfield . The enthronement took place on August 12 of the same year. On June 10, 2020, Francis appointed him Archbishop of Saint Louis. The inauguration took place on August 25 of the same year.
In the Episcopal Conference of the United States is Mitchell Thomas Rozanski member of the Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs .
