Monica Bachmann-Weier (born April 17, 1942 in St. Gallen ) is a former Swiss show jumper . She won the Swiss show jumping championship twice . In 1966 she became Swiss champion with Sandro . In 1970 she won the title in the saddle of her successful horse Erbach . The rider, who grew up in St. Gallen Lachen , made her debut in 1958 at what was then the CSI St. Gallen with a special permit from the Swiss Equestrian Federation at her first national tournament.

With Erbach she also took part in individual and team competitions in two Olympiads . In 1968 in Mexico she reached 6th place with the team and 7th place in the individual. Four years later she reached 5th place with the Swiss team in Munich . She started for the Elgger Horse Friends Association VEP Elgg , Canton Zurich .

Her husband Paul Weier also took part in the Summer Olympics as a show jumper .
