Monika Greving , also Monika Grewing (* 1914 ), is a German actress .

Life

Greving worked from the 1950s in several movies and television productions. As its first film appearance, the film database IMDb lists the German crime film Die Tat des Andere ( The Act of the Other) from 1951. This was followed by appearances in several other movies in the 1960s. Greving played over 20 roles in film and television between the early 1950s through the mid 1990s.

In the Heimatfilm Heiße Harvest (1956) she played the role of the countrywoman Mrs. Pettenkofer, who looks after the children of the refugees from East Prussia . In the west German fairy tale film Rübezahl - Herr der Berge (1957) Greving played the wife of the glassmaker Steffen. In the film comedy Ludwig auf Freiersfüßen Greving was seen in the role of Mathilde Klausing; she played at the side of Harald Juhnke the wife of the Berlin commercial councilor Klausing.

She had episode roles in the television series Das Kriminalmuseum , The Strange Methods of Franz Josef Wanninger , Tatort , Derrick and Forsthaus Falkenau, among others . In the Derrick episode Die Festmenüs des Herr Borgelt (first broadcast: April 1992) she played the landlady Frau Kramer. In the Derrick episode The Murderer's Wife (first broadcast September 1992) Greving played the role of the housekeeper Ms. Haupt.

Greving also worked as a stage actress . There is evidence of theater appearances in Munich after the Second World War . Among other things, she was employed at the Bavarian State Theater. In the 1947/1948 season she played the role of the dancer Isabelle in the German premiere of the comedy Invitation to the Castle by Jean Anouilh ; the premiere was in January 1948 in the Theater am Brunnenhof, which was then the alternative quarters of the destroyed Munich Residence Theater . In 1958 she appeared in a production by Trude Kolman at the Die Kleine Freiheit theater in Munich alongside Hanne Wieder in the musical comedy Der große Dreh by Friedrich Hollaender . In the 1961/1962 season she played the role of Mrs. Fanny Mell in the comedy Das Konzert by Hermann Bahr (premiere: June 1962) at the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel .

After the Second World War, Greving also belonged to the ensemble of the cabaret Die Schaubude .

Greving was also active as a speaker for radio plays . In the radio play series Urmel aus dem Eis , she spoke the role of pig lady Pig in the radio play Urmel flies into space (1972). In the fairy tale radio play The Brave Little Tailor (1975) she played the role of the first giant. In the radio play series Sindbad she spoke in the episode Sindbad 6 (1979) the wife of the Sultan .

Occasionally Greving also worked as a voice actress . In the film comedy alone for two (1979) she lent her voice to the French actress Gilbert Géniat in the role of Zézette.
