Directions

You can reach the entrance from the parking lot above Morscheid via a 150 meter long access road. The path leads straight through the natural monument of the quartzite rock "Langenstein". The next striking stop is the Riveristalsperre . Now it goes on over the dam circular path to a refuge in the Morscheider high forest. The path continues through forests and open fields and past disused slate and ore mines . It offers distant views of the high forest and the Ruwertal , of the castle ruins and the village of Sommerau, Marienlay Castle or the Riveristalsperre .
