history

Mosfet 2013

In 2003, the band was in Upper Austria Marchtrenk by Philipp Essl, Alexander Kleiß and Florian Dobretsberger founded and initially focused on hard rock - and heavy metal - cover versions . After Marc Gruber joined the guitarist in 2005, the band increasingly played their own compositions. The debut EP King of Damnation was self-published in 2006. In 2008 the band took part in the Metalcamp festival in Tolmin , Slovenia . In the same year, Patrick Schmuck joined the band as a bass player, and from then on Philipp Essl concentrated on singing.

In 2009 the band made it to the finals of the Austrian Band Contest / International Live Award, as well as the Wacken Metal Battle Austria. The first album Sickness of Memory was released in 2010 via Refused Records, which was released at the Metalcamp, the Prater Open Air, the Metalfest 2010 as well as in the opening act of bands like Warbringer , Marduk , Hail! , Master and Mastic Scum was promoted. In 2011 the band played at festivals like Hell Over Vellach and Metal Invasion as well as some support shows for z. B. Heaven Shall Burn , Neaera and Belphegor .

They also worked on the band's second album with producer Martin Zeller. This was released in January 2012 under the title Deathlike Thrash´n´Roll on Refused Records. Dan Swanö ( Edge of Sanity ) and Tommy Vetterli ( Coroner , ex- Kreator ) were also involved in this album . In 2013 the band celebrated their tenth anniversary with the "10 YEARS OF THRASH ASSASSINATION" tour.

In 2015 the band released their third album "Screwing The Devil". This was recorded with the new producer, Philip Seidl (ex- The Blackout Argument ), in the Suiseidl studio in Germany. The publication took place in September via office4music.

In April 2016, the band announced that they would be discontinuing band activities during the year. A Balkan tour and some smaller shows were still played. The graduation was celebrated at the Kaltenbach Open Air 2016.

style

Mosfet describe their style as Thrash Metal , mixed with melodic Death Metal and Rock 'n' Roll and call it "Deathlike Thrash'n'Roll".

Band mascot

Since the album "Deathlike Thrash´n´Roll" the "Diarrhea Werewolf" (from the song of the same name) has been a constant companion of the band.
