The titles of the European motorcycle championship in 1924 were awarded at the I. Grand Prix of the FICM , which took place on September 6, 1924 in Monza ( Italy ) as part of the III. Grand Prix of Nations was held on the Circuito di Milano .

At this first European Grand Prix, European championship titles were awarded for the first time in the history of motorcycle racing .

Race courses

In the 175 cc class, Belgian Maurice van Geert won on Rush with an English Blackburne engine. The Austrian Puch pilots Hugo Höbel and Rupert Karner came in second and third . Jimmie Simpson won the race in the 350 cm³ class on AJS in front of two local pilots. In the half-liter class of the Italian won Moto-Guzzi - factory driver Guido Mentasti on Moto Guzzi 500 C4V ahead of compatriot and fellow Erminio Visioli .
