European motorcycle championship 1929

The titles of the European motorcycle championship in 1929 were at the VI. Awarded the FICM Grand Prize , which was held on October 19 and 20, 1929 in L'Ametlla del Vallès , about 30 kilometers north of Barcelona in Spain .

Race courses

Ten pilots started in the 175 cm³ class. The DKW - factory driver Josef Klein from Merzig dueled of racing beginning with the Italians Riccardo Brusi ( Benelli ). In the half-liter class, British Rudge pilot Percy Hunt won ahead of his team-mate Graham Walker .

For the second time in the history of the European Motorbike Championship, races were held for teams . In the 350 cm³ category, in which only one team saw the checkered flag, the Briton Freddie Hicks won on a Velocette . In the 600s, Dennis Mansell on Norton won ahead of Scott driver Edgar d'Eternod from Switzerland and the local Vicente Naure .
