Main round

Season course

The regular season started on Saturday, September 15, 2018 and ended on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.

The newly promoted HC Sierre took the lead early on and gave up this position to defend until the end of the season. Overall, the Valais had to admit defeat only seven times, including three times after extra time. The HC Sierre was consequently the first team that could qualify for the playoffs.

Only in the 32nd and last round could EHC Bülach get the eighth and final playoff place. The Zurich team prevailed in the Fernduell with one point ahead of EHC Seewen.

The main round in last place ended the EHC Chur, who could only win five games within 60 minutes during the entire season and lost all home games except for the last.
