Playout

The playout should be played in best of five mode. The team that had scored more points up to this point got the home advantage. The loser of the playout should be relegated. Since the CP Meyrin used an unlicensed player in the Relegation West in three games, the Genevans were subsequently imposed three forfait defeats. As a result, HC Villars and HC Valais Chablais Futur II swapped places. Since HC Villars and the Red Lions Reinach had already played two games in the playout, the playout was canceled when the score was 1: 1. At the green table it was finally decided that there should be only one relegated team this season.

  Playout
 HC Villars 1
 Red Lions Reinach 1

Decisions at the green table

Since only HC Luzern rose from the 2nd league, CP Meyrin was also saved on the green table. A few weeks after the end of the championship it became known that EHC Uzwil had to withdraw from the 1st division due to financial problems.
