Mykyta Kostjantynowytsch Buzenko ( Ukrainian Микита Костянтинович Буценко ; born January 20, 1990 in Kharkiv , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian ice hockey player who has been under contract with CS Progym Gheorgheni in the Romanian ice hockey league since 2017 .

Career

Mykyta Buzenko began his career as an ice hockey player with HK Sokil Kiev , for whose second team he made his debut in the Ukrainian ice hockey league at the age of 14 . At the age of 16 he moved to HK Berkut for a year before playing for HK Bilyj Bars Brovary from 2007 to 2010 . In his last season there he was voted best young player in Ukraine. After returning to Sokil for a year, he spent the 2011/12 season again at HK Berkut and HK Kompanion Kiev . He then moved to eastern Ukraine, where he was Ukrainian champions for the first time in his career with the second team of HK Donbass Donetsk . Despite this success, he returned to the Bily Bars in Brovary the following season. In 2014, when the war in eastern Ukraine initially stopped playing, Buzenko moved to Polonia Bytom in the Polish Ekstraliga . In 2015 he returned to Donbass Donetsk and won with the club in 2016, when he made a significant contribution as the top scorer and the best assists in the league, and in 2017 again the Ukrainian national championship. Since 2017 he has been playing for the CS Progym Gheorgheni in the Romanian ice hockey league .

International

In the junior division, Buzenko played in the Division I tournaments of the U18 World Championships in 2006 , 2007 and 2008 when he was voted the best player on his team. In 2008 , 2009 and 2010 he was on the ice for Ukraine at the U20 World Championships, also in Division I. He also took part in the 2013 Winter Universiade in Trentino with the Ukrainian student selection.

He did his first appearance for the Ukrainian men's national team at the age of 27 at the 2017 World Cup in Division I, when he was voted the best player on his team. Also in 2018 he played for Ukraine in Division I.
