NBA Live is a basketball series developed by EA Sports and released for various game consoles . The NBA Live series is a mix of arcade-heavy and realistic gameplay .
NBA playoffs
In 1989, game developer Electronic Arts released the basketball game Lakers vs. Celtics and the NBA Playoffs for PC. The following year, a video game adaptation for the Super Nintendo and the Sega Mega Drive appeared . This game was something special back then, as it was the first game with the official NBA license. The player has eight teams (including the Phoenix Suns , Chicago Bulls ) and two game modes ( exhibition, playoffs ) to choose from. The developers have integrated an isometric perspective and special attack patterns from the NBA stars (such as Charles Barkley's Gorilla Dunk ) into the game.
In 1992 the sequel “ Bulls vs. Lakers and the NBA Playoffs ”for the Sega Mega Drive . The game principle has been expanded with some innovations. NBA Live 95

NBA Live 2005
On October 27, 2004 EA Sports released NBA Live 2005 for numerous consoles and the PC. The player can choose from a new game mode ( NBA All-Star Weekend ), new animations and attack patterns as well as the " Freestyle Air Control " function (feature) and an improved dynasty mode. In Dynasty mode, a 15-year playing time of any team is simulated. The player or user can act like a manager on the team. NBA Live 06

This version was very controversial in the trade press because it offered fewer game modes, hardly any innovations and jerky graphics.
NBA Live 07
In the fall of 2006, NBA Live 07 was released . There are hardly any changes in the modes, but the controls have been greatly improved. Now you can quickly play extended passes, i.e. tip passes ; you also have full control ( Total Freestyle Control ) over each player. As a function there is the X-Factor with which an experienced player becomes a superstar for a short time and controls the game at the decisive moment. In addition, there are other displays and factors that you as a player have to consider such as the momentum display, the game intensity, the team chemistry (morale) and the player fatigue calculated with more factors.
NBA Live 08
In autumn 2007 NBA Live 08 was released for the PS2 , PS3 , PSP , Xbox 360 for Wii and for the PC. Hardly any changes compared to 07. A little better in the graphics.
NBA Live 09
In autumn 2008 NBA Live 09 was released for the PS2 , PS3 , PSP , Xbox 360 and for the Wii . There was no output for the PC. In the game graphics a bit improved compared to Live 08. Otherwise no major changes.
NBA Live 10
In October 2009, an NBA game from EA Sports appeared again for a long time, which received positive feedback from both fans and critics. Although they were not yet at the very high level of the competition, the gap to the NBA 2K series from 2K Sports was further shortened. The poaching of gameplay designer Mike Wang from 2K Sports is starting to show its effects. Playfully and visually, NBA Live 10 was better than the years before.

In November 2013, NBA Live 14 was released for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 .
