The NSU 13/35 PS was an upper mid-range car that Neckarsulmer Fahrzeugwerke Aktiengesellschaft built between 1912 and 1914. It was the successor to the 13/40 hp model

The water-cooled engine was a four-cylinder block engine with a displacement of 3397 cm³ (bore × stroke = 97 × 115 mm), the 35 HP (26 kW) at 1700 / min (from 1913: 40 HP (29 kW) at 1700 / min .) performed. As with its predecessor, the engine had a triple-bearing crankshaft, double ignition ( magnet and battery ), pressure circulation lubrication and counter-controlled valves . The fuel tank was in the back. The fuel was conveyed through the exhaust gases, with part of the exhaust gases being led into the tightly closed tank, creating a slight overpressure there and thus ensuring that the fuel flowed forward to the carburetor. The engine power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a multi-disc clutch in an oil bath, a four-speed gearbox with a link shift on the right and a cardan shaft . The wheelbase of the cars was unchanged at 3200 mm, their track width was 1375 mm and the weight was 1350 kg. The top speed was around 85 km / h.

In 1913 the gear lever was moved to the middle of the car. In 1914 the series ran out due to the war . From 1921 the 14/40 hp replaced this model.
