The NSU 5/25 PS was a small car that Neckarsulmer Fahrzeugwerke Aktiengesellschaft built between 1925 and 1928. The 5/25 PS was the successor to the successful 5/15 PS small car .

The engine was a four-cylinder in- line engine with a displacement of 1307 cm³ (bore × stroke = 68 × 90 mm), which made 25 hp (18.4 kW) at 2900 rpm. Like its predecessor, this engine also had magneto ignition . The increase in output from 15 HP to 25 HP was achieved through a more clever arrangement of the valves on the side and a better shape of the combustion chamber. The crankshaft had three bearings. The power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a leather cone clutch, a four-speed gearbox to be shifted in the interior and a cardan shaft . The wheelbase of the car was 2650 mm, its track width 1150 mm and its weight between 880 and 980 kg, depending on the structure. The top speed was 70 km / h.

The 5/25 PS was available as a double phaeton or sedan.

In 1926, the previous right-hand drive was changed to left-hand drive in order to comply with the new road traffic regulations. The gear lever has been moved from the right outside to the center of the car. At the same time, the fashionable pointed cooler disappeared and was replaced by a flat cooler.

The model was built until 1928 and then disappeared from the range without a successor.
