The Nackbach is a 2.3 kilometer long brook that rises in the homonymous municipality of Nack in the Rheinhessen Tafel- und Hügelland ( Rheinhessen , Rhineland-Palatinate ) and flows into the Wiesbach in the neighboring municipality of Nieder-Wiesen . The body of water is assigned to the third order , which belongs to the Alzey-Worms district .

Geography and course

The Nackbach rises at an altitude of 282  m above sea level. NHN near the Nacker water reservoir, south of the community on the right edge of the road on Landesstraße 407 on the parcel at An der Bechenheimer Straße . On its way it flows through the large natural region of the Upper Rhine Plain (No. 20-23) and belongs to the main unit of the Rheinhessisches Tafel- und Hügelland (227) and the Alzeyer Hügelland (227.4) with the natural area Bolander Randhöhen (227.41).

From Bechenheimer Straße the stream flows downhill on the L 407, in the direction of Nack. On the outskirts, the Nackbach turns west and runs parallel to the local streets Pappellallee and An der Bornwiese . At the end of the Bornwiese the brook flows - further west - over the parcel In der Bornwiese in the direction of the district road 7 , which leads to Nieder-Wiesen. The Nackbach flows from then parallel to the county road, including at Pfingstweg along where it Zumündung to the forest meadow stream comes. The Pfingstweg runs along the lower edge of the Pfingstkopf , at the western end of which the Nackbach crosses the boundary to Nieder-Wiesen and, beyond the border, the Kreisstraße 4 . Most of the stream flows through the southern part of the municipality of Nack.

At a height of 200  m above sea level. NHN flows into a tributary of the Wiesbach in the northwest of the neighboring municipality of Nieder-Wiesen - near the Nack / Nieder-Wiesen sewage treatment plant . The confluence occurs in the natural spatial main unit group of the Saar-Nahe-Bergland (No. 19) in the main unit North Palatinate Bergland (193) and the subunit Glan-Alsenz-Heights (193.12-16), in the natural area of ​​the Wiesener Randhöhen (193.15). It has a height difference of approx. 82 m, which leads to a bottom slope of approx. 36 ‰. The Wiesbachhorn itself flows near Gensingen in the Nahe , this in Bingen in the Rhine and this ultimately in the Netherlands in the North Sea .
