The Nacker Bach is a flowing body of water in Solingen . It rises in Nacker river valley in the area Weyersberg and is in the conservation area . It flows into the Wupper at the Wipperaue , near the Haasenmühle . It used to be called Heidberger, Küllenberger or Schirpenbroicher or its lower reaches Haasenmühler Bach.
Naming
According to Dittmaier, the word neck is a formal word for elevations . In addition to Nacken near Solingen , this also refers to Vossnacken near Velbert - Langenberg and Scharpenacken near Wuppertal - Ronsdorf . So the name suggests a brook in the ground or a brook from the hill / mountain .
geography
course
The approximately 6-kilometer Nacker brook rises in a valley at the II. Heidberg the west of the city of Solingen, where the Wuppertal-Oberbarmen-Solingen railway from Grünewald progressing in a long left turn towards Ohligs runs. It has several smaller tributaries, such as the Pilghauser Bach . The Nacker Bach then runs in a south-westerly direction through the often forested Nacker Bachtal, which is named after it. On the valley slopes of the Bachtal as well as on the banks of the brook there are some residential areas, most of which are typical farms for the Bergisches Land ; downstream these are Kotten , Geilenberg , Nacken, Schaafenmühle , Montanushof , Nacker Küllenberg , Delle , Untenkatternberg , Nöhrenhaus , Brücke , Brachen , Kohlsberg , Schirpenbroich and finally Haasenmühle. There the stream flows into the Wupper.
