Nadya Luer

Nadya Luer (* 1968 in Berlin ) is a German news anchor and editor at Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg . She is currently the personal assistant to the director of the RBB, Patricia Schlesinger . Before that, she was on the television news from RBB Aktuell and the Berliner Abendschau .

Life

Nadya Luer was born in Berlin as the daughter of a Turkish guest worker couple. In elementary school and at the Gottfried-Keller-Gymnasium , she received encouragement and support from individual teachers. She studied political science and German at the TU Berlin and subsequently received her doctorate with her thesis on Erich Fried . For this, she received a doctoral scholarship from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation from 1997 . Luer was a lecturer in political rhetoric and literary studies at the Free University of Berlin and the TU Berlin for several semesters , most recently in the winter semester 2012/13 at the FU.

Nadya Luer worked from 2002 at ORB and Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb) as an editorial employee and spokesperson in various editorial offices, including for Kontraste , Klartext , Brandenburg aktuell , zibb - at home in Berlin & Brandenburg and perpetrators, victims, police .

Since 2004 Luer has been news editor and spokesperson for rbb- Kulturradio . She is part of the moderator team at rbb aktuell and is a news presenter and editor at the Berliner Abendschau (rbb). Since 2010 she has also been speaking on Deutschlandradio Kultur for articles, features , cultural news and trailers . From 2014 she also works as an editor for Deutschlandradio Kultur.

Luer moderates events, such as the closing event “Europe turns 50” of the German EU Council Presidency 2007, an event of the “ Green Dot ” in the Technik Museum in 2008, the 10th Turkish Film Week 2012 and the 11th Turkish Film Week 2013, the specialist conference “Eco Rail Innovation ”on behalf of the Brandenburg Ministry of Economics and others. In June 2016, Luer moderated the panel discussion “Culture as a mediator and engine of society” at the “Kultursalon under the dome” event in the Bundestag . On November 22, 2016, she moderated the event “German Social Prize”, at which she interviewed Federal Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière and World Editor-in-Chief Ulf Poschardt.

For the WDR Nadya Luer 2010 produced a feature for curiosity enough . You were one of the three authors and directors of the documentary Döner oder Bulette? (2010), which deals with the difficulties of living together for Germans and immigrants in Berlin. Another television documentary was Ware Girls - Forced Prostitution (with Jo Goll, 2014) about human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. For this documentation she was awarded the German Social Prize and nominated for the Prix ​​Europa 2016. In 2016, together with André Hörmann, she produced a documentary about the filmmakers of the Berlin School (Die Berliner Nouvelle Vague) for Arte . She shot her latest report for rbb: Between two worlds - German-Turks in Berlin. It was broadcast on July 15, 2017 on the occasion of the first anniversary of the coup in Turkey .

Her childhood memories were published in the anthology Kindheitsspuren (2013), which contains childhood stories from Berlin and Brandenburg by celebrities such as Heinrich von Kleist , Loriot and Ulrich Matthes . She offers readings from it at various events.

Nadya Luer is married and has a daughter.
