Natalie Marie Spooner (born October 17, 1990 in Scarborough , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Toronto Furies in the Canadian Women's Hockey League since 2012 .
Career
Natalie Spooner began playing ice hockey at the age of four. From 2005 she played for Durham West Jr. Lightning in the Provincial Women's Hockey League (PWHL). At the end of the 2007/08 season she was included in the squad of the Mississauga Chiefs , for which she played the play-offs of the Canadian Women's Hockey League and the Esso Women's Nationals .

Between 2008 and 2012 Spooner studied nutritional sciences at Ohio State University and played for their ice hockey team, the Buckeyes , in the WCHA . She has received several awards and is one of the best scorers of all time at the university (for women). In 2012 she finished her studies with a Bachelor of Science .
Spooner has been playing for the Toronto Furies in the CWHL since 2012 and won the championship trophy in the form of the Clarkson Cup with them at the end of the 2013/14 season .
On an international level, Jenner was a participant in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2008 , where she won silver with the team. The striker was first appointed to the Canadian women's national team in 2008. She won the gold medal at the 2012 World Championships , and silver at the 2011 , 2013 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 World Championships . At the 2015 World Cup, she was also elected to the tournament's All-Star team.
The attacker celebrated winning the gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . Four years later, silver at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .
