Natasha Trofimova

Natascha Trofimova (born February 23, 1923 in Berlin , † September 25, 1979 in Munich ; also as Natascha Trofimova ) was a German dancer .

Life

Growing up in Berlin as the daughter of Russian emigrants , Natascha Trofimowa received ballet lessons from Eugenie Eduardowa , Sabine Ress and Tatjana and Victor Gsovsky after completing secondary school . She gained her first stage experience in 1941 together with the ballet Sabine Ress at the Scala in Berlin . During the war years she was also used to work in an ammunition factory. She made her debut as a ballerina at the German State Opera , where she also danced as a member of the ensemble from 1946 to 1951 , in Igor Stravinski's ballet Petruschka . In later years she also held the position of prima ballerina at the State Opera .

From 1951 Natascha Trofimowa undertook a tour with Werner Egks Abraxas in the role of Bellastriga and subsequently made guest appearances at the opera houses in Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main and what was then West Berlin . From 1952 to 1972 she was a member of the ballet at the Bavarian State Opera , where she appeared in 1960 in the choreography of ballet director Heinz Rosen as Isabeau in Werner Egks Joan von Zarissa . After the National Theater reopened , she danced in the first ballet performance in the rebuilt house next to Margot Werner , Heino Hallhuber and Konstanze Vernon .

In addition, she portrayed a dancer in the 1954 feature film Portrait of a Stranger by Helmut Käutner with Ruth Leuwerik , OW Fischer and Erich Schellow .

Natascha Trofimova committed 1979 suicide .

Her estate is in the German Dance Archive in Cologne .
