Nathalie du Roscoät is a French costume designer .

Life

Nathalie du Roscoät has been working as a costume designer for French film since the early 1990s. At first she worked as an assistant for Elisabeth Tavernier, among others . While in 1993 she was responsible for the costume design of a film, she was entrusted with larger productions such as Place Vendôme with Catherine Deneuve in the lead role from 1998 . For this very film by Nicole Garcia , she and Elisabeth Tavernier received their first nomination for the César in the category of best costumes . This was followed by Tonie Marshall's César-winning film Beautiful Venus (1999) with Nathalie Baye and Audrey Tautou .

A year later she made the costumes for the Proust film Die Gefangene by Belgian filmmaker Chantal Akerman . This came later for her film Tomorrow we are moving back to du Roscoät from 2004. In the same year, du Roscoät also appeared in the action film 36 Deadly Rivals with Daniel Auteuil and Gérard Depardieu . Working primarily for female filmmakers, after Place Vendôme she worked several times under the direction of Nicole Garcia, including in 2010 for the mystery film Un balcon sur la mer with Jean Dujardin and Claudia Cardinale . For French television, you Roscoät designed the costumes for seven episodes of the Le Havre crime series Deux flics sur les docks (2011-2016) and one episode of the crime series Agatha Christie: Murderous Games (2013).
