National League A (chess) 2012

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2012 season of the Swiss national league A in chess saw a duel for the title between the Club d'Echecs de Genève and the chess friends Reichenstein , which the Geneva team won thanks to the victory with a one-point advantage. The defending champion chess club Réti Zurich had to be content with 6th place.

The SK Mendrisio and the Club d'échecs de Neuchâtel had risen from the National League B. While Mendrisio achieved relegation, Neuchatel had to relegate directly. In purely sporting terms, SV Wollishofen would have been second relegated, but since the Reichenstein chess friends withdrew their team shortly before the start of the 2013 season, Wollishofen remained in the National League A. For the reported team squads of the participating clubs, see the team squad of the Swiss National League A in Chess 2012 .
