National League A (chess) 2017
The National League A 2017 was the top division of the Swiss Team Championship 2017. The champions were the Chess Society Winterthur , which just relegated the defending champion Schachgesellschaft Zürich to second place. The Club d'Échecs de Neuchâtel and SK Mendrisio were promoted from the National League B last year . While Mendrisio achieved relegation, Neuchâtel and SC Bodan had to relegate directly.

Game dates
The competitions took place on March 19, April 9 and 23, May 14, June 11, September 2 and 3, and October 14 and 15. The last two rounds were played centrally in Regensdorf , the remaining competitions were held locally at the clubs involved.
