The Dwingelderveld National Park is a protected area in the Netherlands . It was designated in 1991 and is 37.66 km² in size. The park comprises the largest heather wetland in Western Europe .

The national park area consists of heather areas, more than fifty lakes and ponds, drifting sand and forest areas. Paths for hikers and cyclists lead right through the national park, some on wooden paths over swampy terrain.
