The National Park Los Arrayanes (Spanish Parque Nacional Los Arrayanes ) is a national park in Argentina with an area of 18.4 km². He almost completely covers the peninsula Quetrihué in Nahuel Huapi -See in the province of Neuquen . Its entrance is 3 km south of Villa la Angostura . The southern tip can be reached by boat from Bariloche and Villa la Angostura.

Although the peninsula has been protected within the Nahuel Huapi National Park since 1934 , this national park was created in 1971 specifically to protect the Arrayán myrtle trees ( Luma apiculata ) .

Individual Arrayán trees can already be seen on a 12 km long hiking and cycling path, at the southern tip there is an almost pure Arrayán area. The extremely slow growing, narrow trees are here up to 600 years old and then have a height of almost 20 meters. To protect the young trees, visitors are now led through the site by guides on a wooden path. The vegetation is now left undisturbed, i. H. other tree species are also "allowed" to resettle in the forest area.

A similar forest, not open to visitors, exists on Isla Victoria opposite .

Pudús , Huemuls , Guanacos , Chiloé opossums and small foxes live in the fully forested national park with two lakes . Among the birds you can see woodpeckers , falcons , eagles and Andean condors .

Around 1900 the area of the park was given to an Admiral O'Connor , who sold it to a Lynch family in 1931 . Most of it was expropriated in 1934, 50 hectares are still privately owned by the family today.
