The nature reserve Plattenburg is located in the municipality of Plattenburg in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1549 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of June 25, 2003 . The 352 ha large nature reserve through which the Karthane flows, extends east of the core village Plattenburg . The B 107 runs to the east .
