The Hainholz nature reserve on the Stepenitz is located in the area of ​​the town of Putlitz in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1007 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of March 6, 1993 . The smallest nature reserve in the Prignitz district and in the state of Brandenburg, with around 0.1 hectares, extends north of the core town of Putlitz. The state road L 111 runs to the west, the Stepenitz , a right tributary of the Elbe , and the L 13 runs to the east. The A 24 runs to the north and the state border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania runs north-west .
