The Jackel nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the town of Bad Wilsnack in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg . It is named after Jackel , an inhabited part of Bad Wilsnack.

The area with the identification number 1546 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of May 29, 2002 . The 348 ha large nature reserve stretches northwest of the central city Bad Wilsnack. The state road L 10 runs to the west and north and to the east, the L 11 runs to the west and south, and the Karthane flows to the east .
