The Wittenberge-Rühstädter Elbniederung nature reserve is located in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1567 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of October 6, 2004 . The 2124 hectare nature reserve extends southeast of the core town of Wittenberge and north of the municipality of Rühstädt along the Elbe and along the state border with Saxony-Anhalt that runs in the middle of the Elbe .
