The second season of the American drama series NCIS celebrated its premiere in the US on 28 September 2004 on the transmitter CBS . The final was broadcast on May 24, 2005. In Germany the season started on September 1, 2005 on Sat.1 and ended on March 9, 2006 with the last episode of the season.

Tony caught pneumonic plague. Although she was not infected, Kate shares the quarantine with him out of solidarity. In the letter, an antidote is offered if the NCIS re-opens a rape case.
