Shortly thereafter, Gibbs' team discovered another body with the same characteristics, apparently killed by the same perpetrator. In the course of the investigation, it turns out that Ducky's new girlfriend, Dr. Mary Courtney, the director of various social services projects through which she met the victims, committed the murders in a state of mental confusion to give Ducky an exciting change at work.

A marine transport machine with the coffins of six fallen marines from Afghanistan crashes. When looking for the corpses, it is noticeable that there are only five corpses. The empty sixth coffin was supposed to contain the remains of First Lieutenant Gabriela Flores, who is said to have died in an attack in Afghanistan. Her mission in Afghanistan was to give girls an education. However, educational videos show very clearly how she initially escaped with two children, but was caught again shortly afterwards.

Gibb's mission is now to find them on site.

At least soldiers in Afghanistan were able to bring the two children who had fled with Flores back into their care. But Flores is still in the hands of the terrorists. The children's statements reveal where the lieutenant is, but the team is ambushed there. Flores is rescued, but a Marine from the retrieval team is fatally wounded.

Back in Washington, the brother is already waiting in the interrogation room. He gossips and so the trail leads to a cell that pulls the strings from Washington and is managed by Osman Zoranj and his younger brother.

Tony is being kept out of the case to protect the investigation.

Unfortunately, both the dead lieutenant at the time of death and Anthony DiNozzo are heavily drunk, which of course makes the reconstruction of the evening very difficult. A construction project was going on between Tony Sr. and the lieutenant, and Massey was due to make a statement the following day about an incident during a formation flight.

During an argument in the conference room, a conversation between DiNozzo and Massey is recorded in which Tony threatens to kill him. That is a heavy burden.

But someone has put massive resources into getting Dr. Driving Banks to his death: Psychotropic drugs for manipulation and emitters for strong electrical fields that are said to cause headaches and sleep disorders. 207 21st Aquamarine Rekindled (1) Apr 17, 2012 Oct 2, 2012 Mark Horowitz Christopher J. Waild & Reed Steiner
In a burned down warehouse belonging to the United Equinox Electronics company , the fire department discovered a corpse along with a Navy file.

Carter Plimpton, an employee of the company that u. a. also developed top secret weapon systems for the Navy, is now lying in this storage room with thermite incineration and some files have been stolen. Plimpton was a product tester and knew that the company had also delivered defective cables to the Navy and that some of them had still not been replaced in ships. The arsonist in the warehouse belongs to the fire department and explodes with his car before he can be questioned. The fact that around two thirds of the ships are still sailing with this error poses a major terrorist threat. The files on which ships this affects are, however, already in the wrong hands.

The episode starts exactly on the cliffhanger of the previous one, with the difference that the assassin is shown. This did not survive the attack.

The terror against the Navy is underway and further attacks cannot be ruled out. There is evidence that the aircraft carrier Benjamin Franklin is the next target, a nuclear-powered ship. The carrier soon arrives at the port of Naples, where Agent Burley, an old colleague of Gibbs, is supposed to carry out a risk analysis and has discovered thermite among the supplies. Tony and Ziva fly to Naples and monitor the delivery and the suspect.

Guest star: Joel Gretsch as Stan Burley

A bug was found in Ned Dorneget's dental implant. Harper Dearing had it used there without his knowledge. The dizziness was only discovered because Dornegets had seen another dentist instead of his actual doctor. Dearing wanted to get information from the NCIS in this way. Dearing calls the NCIS via video conference and pauses briefly at the Navy Yard, but is beyond the NCIS's view.

Due to a weak point in the manufacture of ammunition, there is a possibility that some projectiles may meet the tolerance, but detonate in the course of being fired and the ships could be sunk during an exercise. At a staged bachelorette party for Jimmy Palmer, the team tries to catch Harper Dearing, instead they meet Vincent Maple, who is Dearing's representative in his company. This provides some information, but is not involved in the case, but only enriched itself by embezzling funds.

Guest Star: Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Samantha Ryan

Gibbs tries to get Cole to arrange a meeting, but Dearing sees through the plan and does not appear. Instead, he's calling from the Navy Yard. Vance SUV was bombed while unconscious and detonated in front of the NCIS building. When Ducky finds out about this, he has a heart attack.
