Nebesa ( German Kingdom of Heaven , formerly Egrisch Reuth ) is a district of the city of Aš in the Czech Republic .
geography
Geographical location
Nebesa is located three kilometers southeast of Aš on the border with Germany and belongs to the Okres Cheb . The location is on the northern edge of Chebský les (Egerer Stadtwald) in the Elster Mountains .
Neighboring communities
Neighboring towns are Vernéřov in the north, Horní Paseky and Bad Brambach in the north-east, Hohendorf, Sorge and Bärendorf in the east, Výhledy and Skalka in the south-east, Na Cihelně and Lipná in the south, Längenau in the south-west, Nový Žďár in the west and Mokřiny in the north-west.
The border with Bavaria is about two kilometers west of Nebesa. There is a path across the border that leads to the village of Längenau near Selb . The source of the White Elster lies just under three kilometers to the east . There is also a border path that leads to Bärendorf in Saxony . Rommersreuth Switzerland is to the southeast.
history
Egrisch Reuth was first mentioned in 1315. During the Seven Years' War on May 8, 1759, a battle was fought between Austria and Prussia .
During the Habsburg Monarchy, the community belonged to the judicial district of Asch or District Asch .
In 1907 a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary was built in Nebesa.
After the Munich Agreement , Himmelreich was added to the German Empire and belonged to the Asch district until 1945 .
