history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1315. Along with Horní Paseky, it was owned by the von Sparneck family , who at that time were wealthy in the Schönbacher Ländchen . In 1342 the Notthracht family on Wildstein became new owners, later it was the von Reitzenstein family . With the transfer to the von Zedtwitz family on Neuberg in 1534 , the place lost its importance as a knight's seat and the jurisdiction was subordinated to the Ascher court.

After the abolition of patrimonial Niederreuth formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Wernersreuth in the judicial district Asch or district Asch . In 1874 Niederreuth broke up and formed its own community, which in 1939 had 571 inhabitants.

In execution of the contract between the German Reich and the Czechoslovak Republic on border watercourses and the exchange of territory on the Prussian stretch of the German-Czechoslovak border from January 31, 1930, a further contract between the two states on September 27, 1935 on border watercourses on the Saxon and Bavarian Section of the border as well as an exchange of territory at the border completed. On July 3, 1936, the 93 hectare Niederreuther half-slave was assigned to the German Reich. The tip, which consists of parts of the Rohrichwald forest and the border inn "Zum Schimmel", was commonly referred to as a mold tongue because of its shape and assigned to the Saxon community of Raun . Between 1938 and 1945 Niederreuth was part of the German district of Asch . In 1948, Dolní Reuth was renamed Dolní Paseky . After the Okres Aš was abolished, Dolní Paseky came to Okres Cheb in late 1960 and was incorporated into Vernéřov . Together with Vernéřov, it was incorporated into Aš in early 1976. In the 2001 census, 23 residential buildings and 39 residents were counted.
