The Neue Presse is a daily newspaper (except on Sundays) in the Coburg area . It first appeared on January 25, 1946 in Coburg, Lichtenfels , Kronach and Ebern , after it was founded by the American military government . The sold circulation is 18,329 copies, a decrease of 41.3 percent since 1998. The newspaper appears in the city of Coburg and in the districts of Coburg , Kronach , Lichtenfels and Haßberge .
history
In 1986 the Süddeutsche Verlag took over the majority of the publishing house. The Deutsche Druck- und Verlagsgesellschaft (media holding company of the SPD ) in Hamburg holds a further 30 percent .
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Freie Wort ( Suhl ) was bought and integrated into the publishing group.
In addition, the publisher holds stakes in the local radio station Radio Eins and in the advertising paper publisher Wochenspiegel.
Together with the titles Freies Wort, Südthüringer Zeitung ( Bad Salzungen ) and Frankenpost ( Hof ), which belong to the same owner environment, the Neue Presse forms the regional newspaper group Hof / Coburg / Suhl. The four newspapers jointly produce the supraregional cover section, which is largely identical in the four newspapers.
