The Neumann-Wolff-Gruppe is a group of publishers and printing houses specialized in calendars under the umbrella of the Holding Dr. Neumann-Wolff AG based in Kiel . With its 12 companies at 9 locations in Germany and the Netherlands, including well-known publishers such as Palazzi, Helios, Zettler and DuMont Kalenderverlag, the group is the market leader in Germany.

history

In 1949, Siegfried Neumann and Linda Neumann, widowed Wolff, founded Neumann & Wolff Verlag as a general partnership in Kiel. In the following years, books by Quirin Engasser , Richard Carstensen , Kurt Vethake , Hanns Deininger and Gisbert W. Kühne-Hellmessen were published. In 1971 the publishing house was expanded to include the newly founded Norddruck Neumann GmbH for printing calendars, books and postcards. After reunification , the company expanded in the new federal states and in 1992, Süddruck Neumann GmbH & Co. KG was founded in Plauen . The logistics service provider Logistor GmbH & Co. KG followed.

After Siegfried Neumann founded the Siegfried Neumann Foundation to promote medical research in 1999, he withdrew from the company and the lawyer Kay Dietrich Neumann-Wolff took over the company in the second generation. Alpha Edition GmbH & Co. KG, based in Kiel, was founded on December 15, 2006 in order to expand the business field.

On April 28, 2010, Dr. Neumann-Wolff AG, based in Kiel, is entered in the commercial register as a holding company. Gerhard Fröhler was appointed to the Management Board, who was replaced by Axel Klug on September 22nd. In the following years, the company was restructured and on February 9, 2011, Norddruck Neumann GmbH & Co. KG was merged with Neumann & Wolff Verlag oHG to form the new Neumann & Wolff Werbekalender GmbH & Co. KG. Linda Neumann left the publishing house. On May 31, 2012, the Plauen companies, Süddruck Neumann and Logistor, merged to form the Plauen GmbH & Co. KG calendar. In the same year, Dr. Neumann-Wolff AG took the Dutch Helios Kalenders BV out of the bankruptcy estate of the insolvent Drukkerij Heinen Eibergen BV

In 2014 the Bremen-based Palazzi Verlag was taken over and integrated into the group as Palazzi Kalender GmbH. On January 1, 2015, Dr. Neumann-Wolff AG took over the calendar and stationery division of the Kempen publishing group teNeues and transferred it to the newly founded teNeues Calendars & Stationery GmbH & Co. KG, based in Kiel. In April of the same year, the Dutch NKF Nederlandse Kalenderfabriek BV was taken over

At the beginning of 2017, the Neumann Group acquired the calendar publisher Zettler Kalender GmbH from Schwabmünchen, founded in 1923, from the heir family Bergmann. At around the same time, with retroactive effect to January 1, the Cologne-based DuMont calendar publishing house was taken over by the DuMont media group and the Kalenderteam 365 GmbH was founded as a platform for resellers.

On March 7, 2018, Wohldorf GmbH was acquired and integrated into the group as TTB Calendar GmbH based in Kaltenkirchen . This was followed by Arti Promotion GmbH, which was founded as part of a transferring restructuring from the insolvent Arti Kalender & Promotion GmbH from Herzebrock-Clarholz .

The group's companies publish, produce and sell calendars, diaries and stationery and are together market leaders for calendars in Germany.
