Nicholas D'Agosto (born April 17, 1980 in Omaha , Nebraska ) is an American actor .

Life

Nicholas D'Agosto was born the third of five children to Alan and Deanna D'Agosto in Omaha. His parents own several branches of the Arby’s fast food chain in and around Omaha and are also active in charities. The family is of Roman Catholic denomination. After attending elementary schools, he moved to Marquette University in Milwaukee ( Wisconsin ) in 1998 , where he studied history and theater studies. One semester lived D'Agosto even in the Dominican Republic to this poverty and racial discrimination to study. D'Agosto graduated in 2002.

D'Agosto owes his career as an actor to the director Alexander Payne , who, like him, comes from Omaha and in 1999 let the then 19-year-old appear in a supporting role in his film Election . Since the turn of the millennium, D'Agosto has been a guest actor in front of the camera, mostly in television series, including Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme , Six Feet Under - Always dies , Dr. House or Supernatural . In 2007 he starred in the television series Heroes for nine episodes . In 2009 he got a leading role in the film Fired Up! . Since 2013, he has starred in the Showtime series Masters of Sex alongside Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan . The series ended in 2016. He played a major supporting role in the series Gotham .

Today Nicholas D'Agosto lives in Los Angeles , California .
