Nicola Geisse-Winkel
Nicola Geisse-Winkel (born February 27, 1872 in Bad Ems , † August 11, 1932 in Wiesbaden ) was a German opera singer (baritone).
Life
Geisse was the son of a homonymous Geh. Medical Council . He studied singing in Marburg , Munich , Budapest , Vienna , Amsterdam and Strasbourg . From 1906 he was a corps loop bearer of Hasso-Nassovia , his father's corps . He has made guest appearances in Aachen , Amsterdam, Wroclaw , Budapest, The Hague , Frankfurt am Main , Cologne , Leipzig , Mainz , Munich, Vienna, Wiesbaden and Switzerland . In 1908 he made his debut at the Bayreuth Festival . He sang the Heerrufer in Lohengrin and the Kothner in the Meistersinger von Nürnberg . His recording of the second minstrel song from Königskinder has been preserved.
