Nikola Moro (born March 12, 1998 in Solin ) is a Croatian football player who is under contract with the Russian first division club Dynamo Moscow . The defensive midfielder has been a Croatian U21 international since August 2017 .

Nikola Moro was born in Solin and moved to Zagreb in 2009 at the age of eleven , where he joined the Dinamo Zagreb youth department . In March 2014 he signed his first professional contract with the capital club. Since the 2015/16 season he was in action for the reserve team in the second highest Croatian league . He made his debut in the first team on September 22, 2015 in a 7-1 away win against NK Oštrc Zlatar in the Croatian Cup , when he came on for Paulo Machado in the 61st minute of the game . He made his league debut on May 14, 2016 (36th matchday) in a 4-0 home win against NK Lokomotiva Zagreb . In the next season 2016/17 he already played 15 league games for the first team. He scored his first league goal on April 25, 2017 (30th matchday) in the 1: 2 away defeat against NK Slaven Belupo .

In the following season 2017/18 he finally made his breakthrough as a regular player. A cruciate ligament injury sustained in the national team ended his season in March 2018. Up to this point he had been in 24 league games in which he had scored four goals. After his return at the end of October 2018, he was back in the starting lineup for the 2018/19 season . In the following season 2019/20 he played 28 league games in which he scored two goals.

On August 17, 2020, Moro moved to the Russian first division club Dinamo Moscow , where he signed a five-year contract.

National team

Nikola Moro was in action for all Croatian junior national teams. He has been working for the U21s since August 2017 .
