Nimrus (or Nimruz ; Pashto / Dari :نیمروز, DMG Nīmrūz ) is an Afghan province in the south-west of the country.
The province has a population of around 165,000. Its capital is Saranj .
In Iranian mythology , the area of Nimrus is largely identical to Sistan .
