Nina Maag

Nina Maag (* 28. September 1972 in Munich as Nina Müller ) is a German film producer .

Life

Nina Maag studied production and media science at the University of Television and Film in Munich and worked as an advertising producer for Roman Kuhn Filmproduktion , where she ran the YOUNG GUNS label with young directors such as Markus Goller and Hans Horn .

In 1998 she received the GWFF scholarship in Los Angeles and completed creative writing courses at UCLA . Since 1999 she has produced numerous films for Rat Pack Filmproduktion and Constantin Film , including award-winning productions such as Das Phantom with Jürgen Vogel , Meine Verrückte Türkische Hochzeit with Florian David Fitz and Die Welle with Frederick Lau and Elyas M'Barek .

In 2009 Nina Maag switched to UFA Cinema as a producer. Among other things, the international political thriller Die vierte Macht with Moritz Bleibtreu , the film adaptation of the novel The Weekend by Bernhard Schlink with Sebastian Koch and Tobias Moretti and the movie comedy The Relativity Theory of Love with Katja Riemann and Olli Dittrich were created .

From 2012 to 2013 she managed the branch of Barefoot Films in Munich for Til Schweiger before moving to Veronica Ferres ' film production company Construction Film as managing director and producer in June 2013 , where she worked for the productions Salt and Fire by Werner Herzog , Hectors, among others Travel with Rosamund Pike and Simon Pegg as well as for the movie comedy Unter German Beds with Veronica Ferres and Heiner Lauterbach . She left the company at her own request in 2017. Since September 2019 she has been a producer at Bavaria Fiction in the international productions department.

In 2013 she received the Metropolis Producer Award.

Nina Maag is a member of the German Film Academy .
