The Shinnittetsu Sumikin KK ( Japanese 新日鐵 住 金 株式会社 , Shin Nittetsu Sumikin Kabushiki kaisha , English Nippon Steel Corporation ) is the world's second largest steel manufacturer based in Chiyoda in Japan . It was created by merging the predecessor Shin-Nippon Seitetsu (short: Shin-Nittetsu , English Nippon Steel ) and Sumitomo Kinzoku Kōgyō (short Sumikin , English Sumitomo Metal Industries ).
