No Mercy (translated: No Mercy ) is a pop group that was produced in Germany for a long time.

history

The group, produced by Frank Farian , consists of Marty Cintron and the twins Ariel and Gabriel Hernandez. Frank Farian discovered Marty Cintron in 1995 in a beach café in Miami Beach / Florida and immediately wanted to sign him. He brought his friends along and No Mercy was founded.

With their debut single Missing (originally from Everything but the Girl ) they reached number 18 in the German charts in 1995. Where Do You Go (originally a title by La Bouche ) even reached gold in the USA and platinum in Germany with a top 5 placement. In addition, the single reached number 2 in the UK charts. The next single When I Die , this time a title from The Real Milli Vanilli , also went platinum in 1997 in Germany and Austria. Further single successes with titles such as Kiss You All Over ( Exile ), Please Don't Go or Hello How Are You followed. Both of the band's albums were able to place themselves in the European charts, with the debut My Promise being much more successful than the successor More .

After the second album, the group became a little quieter before at least two singles were released again in 2000 - Morena and Where Is The Love .

In 2002 the single Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood was released (originally by Nina Simone ), a collaboration with Al di Meola . The band's planned third album (again produced by Frank Farian) was not released despite the announcement. In 2006 the band made a tour through Eastern Europe and contributed with You Are the One a track to the album Vocal Rendezvous by Al di Meola.

In 2007 the best-of album Greatest Hits was released with titles from the time with Frank Farian. In October, the album Day By Day followed on their own, the 19 tracks of which have so far only been distributed via iTunes .
