Noemi Zbären (born March 12, 1994 in Langnau im Emmental ) is a Swiss athlete specializing in hurdles sprints and all- around competitions . She won the bronze medal in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games and the silver medal at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics and 2012 .

Zbären won both the Migros Sprint and the Erdgas Athletic Cup in 2009. On May 13, 2010, she took over the U18 Swiss record in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.31 s. Then she was able to qualify at the Youth Olympic Trials as runner-up for the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore , where she won the bronze medal with a time of 13.50 s. At the end of the year she was voted Swiss Athletics Youngster of the Year .

On July 7, 2011, Zbären won the first ever Swiss medal at U18 World Championships when she won the silver medal in Lille with a new U18 Swiss record of 13.17 seconds. At the U18 Swiss championships in all-around competitions, Zbären won the title in her first heptathlon and also improved the U18 Swiss record with a total of 5440 points.

Zbären qualified on July 7, 2012 at the Swiss Championships in Bern with a personal best of 13.15 seconds for the 2012 Olympic Games in London . There she was eliminated in advance. In April 2013 she was honored by the Swiss Sports Aid Foundation as the young athlete of the year.

In 2013 Zbären improved their personal best to 13.04 s. With this she leads the U20 world annual best list and has qualified for the 2013 World Championships in Moscow . At the 2015 World Championships in Beijing , she qualified for the final and came in sixth.

Noemi Zbären starts for the SK Langnau and is therefore a club colleague of the Swiss record holder in the 100 meter hurdles Lisa Urech . Your trainer is Gabi Schwarz-Lehmann.
