Nora Buzalka

Nora Buzalka (born February 26, 1982 in Berlin ) is a German actress .

Life

Buzalka grew up bilingual as a child of Hungarian parents. She spent her childhood in Berlin and Budapest.

From 2004 to 2008 she studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich, where she gained her first stage experience at the Munich Kammerspiele . Afterwards she was engaged at Theater Oberhausen until 2012 , where she worked with Peter Carp , Andriy Zholdak and Kornél Mundruczó , among others . For her interpretation of Marie in Tom Waits ' opera Woyzeck , she was awarded the Oberhausen Theater Prize. Her long-term collaboration with director Herbert Fritsch began at the Oberhausen Theater . In 2011, Nora Buzalka was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen with Fritsch's production of Ibsens Nora .

After an engagement at Theater Bonn ( Kasimir and Karoline ), Nora Buzalka worked at the Berliner Volksbühne from 2013 to 2014 and was seen in Fritsch's productions Frau Luna and Untitled No. 1 . In 2014 she was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen again with the opera Untitled No. 1 .

Since the 2014/15 season, Nora Buzalka has been part of the ensemble of the Munich Residenztheater. There she works again with Herbert Fritsch ( Trilogy der Sommerfrische ), with Martin Kušej ( Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? ) And Frank Castorf ( The adventures of the good soldier Švejk in World War 2016 and Don Juan 2018). With Ulrich Rasche's staging of Schiller's Die Räuber , Buzalka was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen for the third time in 2017.

With the 2019/20 season, Buzalka moved from Munich to the Burgtheater ensemble in Vienna . At the beginning of the 2020/21 season she will also be a guest at the Freiburg Theater in the production of Seven Deadly Sins / Motherland .
