Norbert Buske

Norbert Buske (born January 2, 1936 in Demmin ) is a German Protestant theologian, pastor and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After attending school, Buske completed a degree in theology, which he obtained with a doctorate to become a Dr. theol. completed. He then took up a job as a pastor in Levenhagen . He had been a member of the regional synod of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church since 1973 and was later appointed to the church council.

From 1995 to 1999, Buske was the representative of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church of Mecklenburg at the parliament and state government of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Buske also worked from 1981 to 2009 as chairman of the Working Group for Pomeranian Church History, from 1990 to 2005 on the board of the Historical Commission for Pomerania and on the board of the Society for Pomeranian History, Archeology and Art . As a student he was a member of the Christian Peace Conference and participant in the 1st All-Christian Peace Assembly in Prague in 1961 .

politics

Buske is a member of the CDU. Buske was a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament from 1990 to 1994 and chairman of the legal committee there from 1991 to 1994. In 1995 he was elected district council president of the Ostvorpommern district. In 1991 he was faced with calls to resign because of his alleged cooperation with the GDR State Security . The "Commission to review the state parliament members for possible Stasi burden" commissioned by the council of elders of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania stated in June 1993 that Norbert Buske had never committed to cooperation with the MfS, but rather that the desired contact with Buske was lacking Chances of success have broken off.
