Norbert Neugirg
Norbert Albert Neugirg (born October 8, 1960 in Erbendorf , Tirschenreuth district ) is a German cabaret artist , actor , presenter , columnist , musician, author and ghostwriter .
Life
Norbert Neugirg grew up in the community of Wurz, a current district of Püchersreuth near the Bohemian border in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab , and joined the Neuhauser Boum youth brass band in Neuhaus near Windischeschenbach in 1972 as a trumpeter . Afterwards he trained as a private student with various professional trumpeters on this instrument. After secondary school he learned the profession of office clerk , but gave up his position as department head in 2000 and has been a freelance entertainer ever since.
His grandfather Albert Neugirg, who loved the theater, introduced him to this profession as a teenager. At the age of 18 he played his first roles and sketches , many by Karl Valentin , which is why he is often called "Karl Valentin der Oberpfalz".
His personal strengths as a cabaret artist are his self-rhyming, provocative and - according to his own statement - "snotty" verses like "People who do nothing clever tend to write books", "Those who do not like to do work prefer to sit down and sit down." poems ”or“ If the person is still alive, he should spend his money. Because at the latest at the funeral feast others spend it on him ”.
In 1985 he founded the nine-piece wind orchestra and cabaret group Altneihauser Feierwehrkapell'n from the Upper Palatinate , which has since made its annual appearances on the nationwide TV show Fastnacht in Franconia . Neugirg has been its sharp-tongued commander since it was founded. After giving up his job as an office clerk and department head, he has also been a copywriter and main actor in his “bunch” since 2000, but also works as a trumpeter. Neugirg himself was an active firefighter in a volunteer fire brigade for ten years .
Around 1990 he was a founding member of the Laienbühne Oberpfalztheater, where he is still responsible. This leisure theater sees itself as “theater on demand ”: First the idea comes, then suitable actors are sought and finally the venues are determined.
From 2010 to 2014 Neugirg was next Bernd Handel also co- host of the TV show cabaret from Franconia . , where he continues to be one of the highlights with the Altneihauser Feierwehrkapell'n.
Through his column What I think so in the Oberpfälzer Zeitung Der neue Tag he came to write. Since then he has published four books as an author (2015).
Neugirg founded the ticket platform oberpfalzkarten.de with Manfred Wolfrath and Christian Höllerer to sell their own cultural events on the internet. They later opened this up to other organizers and renamed the platform okticket. Neugirg is one of the three managing directors.
Neugirg lives with his wife Christa and three children in Windischeschenbach. Son Michael appears occasionally as a pianist and singer.
